Come Drink Molson at Ontario, Eh

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

Bar shticks are pretty easy to come up with. Basically it involves having a thought and then putting that into a bar. Skee ball, Bulgaria, and country clubs for poor people have all been done and done again. Throwing its hat into the ring is the veritable theme of America’s wide brimmed hat, Canada, at the quite fine little establishment known as Ontario.

What comprises a Canadian theme, you ask? Well, for starters, some beer that Rick Moranis would sell. Molson, Labatt, and Moosehead, a veritable holy trinity of northern delights, abound and are pretty cheap at that. In addition there’s a well stocked bar of Canadian whiskeys to keep the winter months a bit easier. Maybe best of all for keep some warmth on you as you enter the bar from the blistering, unforgiving winds of Williamsburg is the fireplace. Yes, a real, honest to goodness, fire-filled fireplace. It gets you cozy and dozy like a ski lodge without having to waste money on skiing. So come feel a little Quebecois and drink the winter blahs away.
