Tip Back with Tasting Tuesdays at Jimmy’s No. 43

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

Unfortunately my wine tasting palette is limited to the descriptors “winalicious” and “alcoholey”–aka don’t take me to nice things–but for some reason I can lay down like a motherf*cker when it comes to beer. Which is why I am obsessed with the weekly tastings at Jimmy’s No. 43. For $10, get 6 tastings exploring a brewery or sud genre that will undoubtedly leave you with more info than you can Google as the bartender waits for you to decide on a beer.

Newbies and experts alike are welcome, and after the hour and a half tasting everyone will feel on the same playing field at the end. Oh, and also significantly buzzed. The themes include the likes of New York state beers to IPAs, check the site for upcoming themes.

Any other day of the week is a fine time to give this spot a visit too; the menu features a wide array of craft beers (surprise!) and above average nibbles, too. One might even call them… foodalicious!
