Every Day is a Special at Epstein’s Bar

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

You know my favorite kind of special? The kind that’s every day. That way, there’s no obligation to take advantage of a $3 slime green shot night special on a Sunday and start the week puking at work just because that was the only time you could afford to go out. Epstein’s on the LES gets this and doesn’t want you to get fired either, even if you deserve it for other reasons.

$.50 wings and $3 beers on Mondays, 2-for-1 lunch, dinner and drinks on Tuesdays, 80s prices and music on Wednesdays, and happy hour prices on appetizers and drinks the rest of the week?! DAMN, SON. They also have $3 Bloody Mary’s on Saturday’s until 3PM and 2 for 1 burgers 3-11PM on Sundays. OH NO THEY DIDN’T.

The grub is pretty normal bar food fare; I’ve had the Turkey Club and Cheesesteak (which is only $5 on Mondays, OH SNAP!) and have no complaints. Beer offering is pretty basic as well, a highlight being their own specialty Epstein’s Ale. It’s in prime people-watching territory so outdoor seating is definitely the way to go if possible. They also show whatever the big sports game is of the moment on their TVs inside and even take channel requests if it’s slow. Overall, I give this spot a resounding OMG.
