Tourist or Not: Twin Peaks is the Spot

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

Whether you live in San Francisco or are just visiting, Twin Peaks is always a great FREE way to get a different perspective of the city. Watch the fog roll in from Ocean Beach over the compact maze of Victorian houses, apartment buildings, parks and sky scrapers. The view is epic no matter if it is a sunny day or not – sometimes foggy or gray days can make the city look even cooler and make for great photos.

If you have time to chill, bring a blanket and a bottle of wine and climb up one of the peaks to enjoy the panoramic view. If it is too windy or you are just going up as a tourist, you can just park in the parking lot to have a look over what I’d say is probably the most impressive lookout spot in the city. If you have even more time, try riding your bike there and making a day out of it! Just ride in the direction of that big red and white antenna you see looming over San Francisco…
