Le Comptoir: Bottomless Mimosas Within Stumbling Distance

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

Le Comptoir

The other weekend I attended the most drunken brunch I’ve possibly ever been to– or if not the drunkest, the most booze consumed at one brunch. There is one place responsible for this. Namely, Le Comptoir in Williamsburg, which is luckily within stumbling distance from pretty much anywhere in that neighborhood. So yeah, we were a party of about 16 or something crazy like that, and they still let us have their bottomless mimosas deal– which although it was great for us, must have been the world’s most annoying thing for the staff.

The deal is you get one main brunch item, plus bottomless mimosas for like $24 or something along those lines (I can’t find it advertised anywhere online for probably good reason). And they are not fucking joking about bottomless. They set up like two ice buckets and I think we went through like 10 or so bottles. They serve the OJ and strawberry stuff, whatever it is, in like separate containers so you can control your alcohol to juice ratio– which is like UNHEARD of in a non-bottle service club situation. So you literally don’t have the be The Situation to get bottle service. HEY-O!

Anyhow, the other amazing part about this deal is that they have some pretty fancy/pricey-seeming shit on their menu that counts in the mimosa/brunch package deal– like shit with crab and prosciutto in it. I know I’m blowing up their spot a little, but like, it’s too good not to share, because if there’s one thing that makes me happy when I’m broke is to eat like a queen without spending Queen Elizabeth-like sums, if that’s even a thing. If it’s not, well, consider the thing made now…by me.
