FREE “Made In Polaroid” Art Exhibit

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

Get your “high-low art” on with Phillips de Pury & Company at the Made in Polaroid exhibit running through Wednesday, September 13th. In an effort to vary your usual FREE museum routine, you can check out some contemporary art created by a generous smattering of famous people using the Polaroid GL 10. The exhibit features 50 works by 50 big-name designers, photographers, actors, and artists – including Cynthia Rowley, Phillip Lim, Patrick Demarchelier, and the ever-ubiquitous James Franco. On Thursday, the works will be auctioned off, and the proceeds will be donated to charity. That’s not the FREE part, so go see Made in Polaroid by Wednesday and do your good deed by spreading the word to your art-buying friends.

Check out some previews of the artwork over at phillipsdepury.com.

Tiara Francis - NY Know-it-all

Tiara was born in NYC, raised in NJ, and after studying Comp Lit at Columbia, vowed to never go back to the suburbs. While she has expensive taste, she also has shallow pockets and is always looking for a budget way to be a weekend warrior. Her hobbies include laughing way too loudly, putting hot sauce on/in everything - including margaritas - speaking French at inappropriate moments, and dancing like there’s no one else in da club.
