Rancid formed from the ashes of the cult East Bay band, Operation Ivy, in the early 90s and in their 15+ years have sold millions of records. The incomparable punk band Rancid recently began recording in a studio on the California coast with long-time friend, producer and label president Brett Gurewitz, who has worked with Rancid on virtually every record in their extensive, accomplished career. Slated for a release later in the year on Epitaph/Hellcat, the new Rancid record promises to be a phenomenal addition to a consistently exceptional career.
