Shaun King Doing Last Minute Speaking Engagement in Oakland

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

shaun-king

If you don’t know who Shaun King is by now, you must not know how to use social media. He’s the Senior Justice Writer for the NY Daily News, an incredibly influential social justice advocate, and a goddamn master of social media.

A couple months ago when we were helping raise money for a health clinic at Standing Rock, Shaun put the word out on social media and helped us raise something like $100k overnight! He’s powerful, controversial, and effective, my kind of cat.

Anyways, Shaun is doing a last minute event Oakland Technical High School tomorrow (Saturday) from 7pm-9pm. All the info is below and you can RSVP here.

From Shaun:

What’s up Oakland?!

On THIS SATURDAY evening at 7pm I’m hosting a free pop-up event at Oakland Tech High School (in the auditorium) and hope to see you and your crew there. This event is free and open to the public and seats are on a first come, first serve basis.

I’m going to be speaking/teaching/taking questions and will hang out afterwards so we can connect face to face as well.

See you on Saturday!

A big thank you to Josh Johnson, who is from Oakland and graduated from Oakland Tech, and the Fam 1st Foundation, for making this happen.
