See all the new murals, shops and art in the SOMA with 2 Blocks of Art, hangout with Mission artists at The Galallery Art Party, or check out MUTEK, a newer kind of art fair dedicated to innovation in art and technology.
8th Annual 2 Blocks of Art
Take a stroll with more than 75 artists in 20 locations within just two blocks this Saturday! A range of exhibits and live performances in galleries, bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and various other storefronts — even a laundromat. Arts organizations dope galleries and theaters are all participating like 1AM, Bindlestiff, Little Raven, Luggage Store and SF Camerawork. Checkout Pentacle Coffee for a big new mural by Jeffrey Cheung, the new Thrasher Magazine’s 66 6th store w/@coolhandken, Sketchpad Gallery’s “Sketch the Block”: Joko Budiono,and Roving performances by the dancers of King Lines, (who specialize in blowing peoples minds). A great afternoon for art walkin’ & talkin’. And for a nightcap, check out the locally loved Galallery Art Party & benefit in the Mission starting at 7pm.
