Om, om, om-om, om-om, om my God!

What are the things that make you go, “Om”? C&C Music Factory? A decadent chocolate dainty? How about a FREE meditation class hosted by Meditation A-Go-Go?

If you’ve never taken time out of your chaotic urban rat race to focus on your inner quietude, this “Mindfulness and Meditation” class is perfect for you. Although I get the impression that the classes are especially designed for beginners, avid meditators may also benefit from the extra om time. According to their website, the instructors of Meditation A-Go-Go structure a path “for those who live and work in the world.” So, literally everyone. And if you’re from outer space, well, we’re on to you.

The classes are scheduled in two convenient time slots: one for the early birds, and one for those who value weekend languidness. The only suggestion they offer is to wear comfy clothes. Feel free to show up in your jammies, because, hey, who can tell the difference between transcendence and napping?

Thanks to Mike M. for the tip.

Meditation and Mindfulness Class
2488 Martin Luther King Jr. Way, The Meeting Center [South Berkeley]
Sunday, Feb. 27th, 10am-11:30am and 3pm-4:30pm

Mia Di Pasquale - Scroungy Scribbler

Mia is a nice Italian girl from an exotic Italian colony called New Jersey.  She studied English Literature and Screenwriting at Drexel University in Philadelphia and has no intention of ever being a teacher.  Instead, she produces low-budget films with her crew/friends, one of which actually won a contest hosted by AMC and judged by Mr. Robert (Rob) Zombie.  She currently lives and loves in beautiful Oakland, California, which, she maintains, is just as great as and even sunnier than San Francisco.
