FREE: Get WET at The 2009 INKubator Summer Series

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

WET Productions was founded in 1999 by Sasha Eden and Victoria Pettibone.  WET is dedicated to developing new material for the theater, film and TV written by women,  producing premiere theatrical productions written by female playwrights, producing live events that promote celebrated female artists; and the creation & production of a free educational outreach program for 150 New York City teenage girls.

This summer the folks at WET Productions are sponsoring the INKubator Summer Series, 3 “super double feature” showcasing a new original play this week and next week,  followed by hilarious musical-improvosational duo I Eat Pandas. The Pandas Show costs only$5.

Per WET Productions Website tonight’s play “Dusty and the Big Bad World” is described thusly:

DUSTY is the most popular animated character on children’s television. But when Dusty goes to visit a family with two Daddies, the big bad world brings the hammer down hard and things get decidedly adult.

DUSTY AND THE BIG BAD WORLD is a hilarious, no-holds barred dramatization of the clash between freedom of speech, art (or at least children’s TV), and politics.

Here’s how to reserve tickets

Show up for DUSTY, stay for PANDAS and then get a slice of fucking insanely good Artichoke Pizza on 14th street between A and B.

All told you’ll spend 9 bucks.  Not bad.

The show is at the DR2 Theater in Union Square

DR2 Theater 103 East 15 Street, New York
