Love!: Radioactive Style

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

Do you want to experience the weirdness of Burning Man, but want none of the mud, questionable sex, or, any actual burning “man”?  If you answered yes, then, get your hippie hipster ass to The Bklyn Yard for The Love Canal party on, duh, the Gowanus Canal, for what seems like the second coming of the Age of Aquarius.  Does the irony ever START?

Apparently, the dress code is (1) “undersea love mutant”, (2) whatever it is you decided to wear today, or (3) naked.  If you decide to go with option 3, you can get yourself painted by some unlucky individual, and then wash it all off in the available swimming pool there.  In addition, there will be performance artists, DJs, bands, food, hula-hooping, picnics, the great outdoors, and the permission to pitch your own tent galore.  Just keep it in your pants, y’all!  Or not, apparently, because this sounds like a pretty wild ride, lasting from 2pm-9pm (free before 4pm), with a free afterparty from 10pm-2am at a supersecret location.  Looks like secrets DO make friends!  Am I right?  Am I right?
