While it may not be blue skies this Sunday, you think a little rain and an uptown subway ride is gonna get in your way of a free BBQ? The lovely folks at WBAR, Barnard College’s resident radio station, are hosting their annual concert and BBQ with some great acts lined up. Scenester favorites, Cold Cave will be playing along with Montreal based Think About Life, and a whole score of others. See the full line-up here, and get they early, bands go on at noon. They also personally promise not to run out of food this year, god knows there was probably a fight to the death over the last pulled pork sandwich last year.

If you’re not in the mood to pack a poncho, and prefer to laze about Brooklyn, Park Slope’s Southpaw is hosting the first of the monthly Kings County “flea market”. Despite all the flea markets that have been popping up this spring, (Hester St, Brooklyn Flea) I use the term loosely since you’re more likely to find indie designer finds then the contents of Granny’s attic. Even if you’re not flooded with shopping funds right now, you can still enjoy the free music and always awesome eats that turn up at these things.
