Nuclear Winter with FREE Spiked Cider at Convent NYC

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

I get excited when all my interests converge in one place. As it just so happens, tomorrow evening with Nuclear Winter, a party at Convent boutique featuring free spiked cider, live music, an amazing outdoor art installation, and tricked out accessories. The only set-backs, will be my empty wallet and damaged liver at the end of the evening, but that’s something we all deal with.

Enjoy 30% off selected styles from the store’s new collection, which I can personally attest to, is amazing.  And the store’s in-house installation is a draw in itself. Part of the “Project For Empty Space: A Pop-Up Vision”, artists Jasmine Wahi and Meenakshi Thirukode have created an entire outdoor space out of recycled and found materials from the streets of New York. Their mission was to make the realm of public art, essentially “public” and strip it of it’s high-brow constraints so that everyone can enjoy it and to encourage community involvement.

Get their early, before the cider and steals run out.

Laura S - Spendthrift Scribe

Laura S, left the "sixth borough" three years ago to settle in Brooklyn. After working at some daily rags, she now does writing on the side but still eats more Ramen then necessary. When she's not moving residences every 6 months, eating her way through every neighborhood, and trying every microbrew known to man, she is unsuccessfully rediscovering home economics. With her binging days behind her, she's now exploring new projects and rediscovering the city that she loves (although is still prone to sliding on her knees during a Prince karaoke set).
