The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

Music lovers, try if you can to pull yourself away from the double click fun of turntable.fm for a few hours tonight to check out the killer inaugural line-up at the new House of Vans space in Greenpoint. No Age, Health, Cults and Ceremony will put on a free, all ages live show tonight starting at 7PM on a first come, first serve basis with RSVP.

Housed in an old warehouse with an estimated 25,000 square feet for wayfarer-wearing fans to fill, the series promises to be more than the usual overcrowded clusterf$%k promo show that has unfortunately become the norm. There will be five more shows this summer, the next on July 14th with Superchunk (!), Off! and Lemuria. Apparently this also a skate park in case you have the coordination for that kind of thing.

No Age, Health, Cults and Ceremony
FREE Show at the House of Vans. 7PM.
25 Franklin Street (btn Meserole and Quay)

[Greenpoint]

Jill is an Ohio native and Boston University graduate who refuses to stop saying "pop" and wearing her Red Sox gear despite being heckled for doing so since moving to Brooklyn. She's been honing her thrifty ways since doing that silly thing people talk about when they ignore reason to follow their hearts and chose a career in the fulfilling but faltering music industry. She earns her beer money as a publicist and writer, and spends her spare time cooking, biking, and trying to decide if she's ready to get a cat.
