Learn How to Be a Great Storyteller: FREE at Brooklyn Skillshare Tonight!

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

You know how some people are horrible storytellers?  Like, they start talking and the story drones on-and-on and you get super confused/bored and nod along but are secretly spacing out?  Well, don’t let that person be you!  Improve your storytelling skills by attending “How to be a Great Storyteller and Other Useful and Humorous Public Speaking Techniques,” a FREE one-hour class at Tea Lounge in Park Slope tonight!

During the class, local storytellers Kerri Doherty and Andy Ross will be imparting their professional tale-spinning wisdom, sharing techniques for how to hook your audience, construct a beginning-middle-end, and prepare your story for an onstage performance.  Whether you just want to be able to impress people at parties, or are looking to develop a one-man show about your difficult teen years as a horse enthusiast/ teal sweatsuit-wearer/ proud owner of a rat tail, useful information is sure to be taken away from this FREE class (along with a list of open mics and fun storytelling shows in NYC!).

Brooklyn Skillshare hosts community-led events, designed to share and disseminate skills and information to Brooklyn residents.  For more information on Brooklyn Skillshare and the classes they offer, visit their website.  Or just check out the Storytelling class tonight and find out how great they are firsthand!
