The Great American Sesh In: An Online Weed, Music & Art Fest to Fight COVID

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

Well 4/20 is almost here but due to COVID, there won’t be any big stoney celebration in Golden Gate Park this year. While I imagine there will be a lot of streaming things going on for the holiday, including the rad deals and events Urbana has planned, the biggest happening that I’ve heard about is The Great American Sesh in.

Featuring famous performers like B-Real (Cypress Hill), Tommy Chong, Rob Garza (Thievery Corporation), and DJ Shorkut, this online festival is keeping people safe at home while raising money for COVID-19 first responders.

As it says on their website:

The Great American Sesh In is an online cannabis, music, and arts festival designed to keep this years 4/20 celebration safe, exciting, and a great reason to stay indoors. The goal is to flatten the 4/20 curve by encouraging patrons to visit dispensaries or order online early to be home and tune in on 4/20/20.

This telethon style event raises funds for our first responders so the cannabis community can give back, and say thanks, to the very people who helped make cannabis an essential medicine. The event celebrates 4/20 with artists and musicians, comedians, industry luminaries, and special surprise and delight moments.

You can learn more about it right here.
