Library Fine Amnesty for the Next Two Weeks

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

This girl is so excited they let her back in the library, that her mouth stopped working.

This girl is so excited they let her back in the library, that her mouth stopped working.

Remember that week you got all obsessed with Genghis Khan and decided you wanted to know as much about him as possible?  Don’t pretend you don’t know what I’m talking about…you know where this is going.  You went down to the library and got like four books about him and two about Mongolia.  Ring a bell?

Anyway, I know your lazy ass never got around to returning them and they’ve been sitting under you bed for the past 10 months or so.  Now you’re terrified to return them because your broke as shit and worried that this time you’re finally gonna have to cash in evolution’s stimulus check (sell a kidney) to pay the fine.  Well today is your lucky day!  Cancel your appointment at that back room surgeon in the Tenderloin, the library has granted you amnesty!

From May 3rd-16th, The San Francisco Public Library is letting you return all that shit you’ve been meaning to give back to them, and not only are they waiving your fees, they’re giving back your borrowing rights too.  That’s a hell of a lot nicer than I would be.  If I were them, I wouldn’t let your ass borrow a goddamn thing again.  Click here for all the details.
