FREE Tickets to the Art and Soul Oakland Festival

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

It certainly has been eventful over here at BAS HQ lately.  For some reason people keep sending us stuff to give away and since I know you motherfuckers have no money, I’m elated to be helping you stay entertained.

This time around I have two sets of four tickets to give away for the Art and Soul Oakland Festival.  For the folks that gotta pay for this event it’s gonna be $10, but two lucky readers will each be able to bring three of their friends for FREE!

The festival is happening August 15-16th in downtown Oakland and features headliners like Shawn Colvin, Will Downing, BoDeans, and Bobby Caldwell.  According to the press release there will also be tons of performers playing Jazz, Rock, Blues, Latin, R&B, and Gospel.  Click here for the full line-up.

Truthfully, I don’t really know any of these people’s music, but I bet some of you do. Also, the local band Loquat will be playing and they’re super awesome folks.  I got to interview them last year at the Treasure Island Music Festival.

So here is how you win: Email me at info@brokeassstuart.com and tell me your favorite cheap spot in Oakland.  The two winners will be chosen by who gives the best answer.  Please note I will be adding your email to my email list unless you explicitly ask me not to. Let the games begin!
