This one comes straight from my man Johnny Funcheap.  This Wednesday the Riptide, is throwing a bad ass party to kick off the Outside Lands Festival.  This little fiesta is to raise money for the Save The Waves Coalition and there will be FREE food, surf movies on the big screen, a DJ spinning reggae and dub, and a raffle with prizes like a surfboard and tix to go to Outside Lands.  The best part is that there’s no cover charge at all.

I can personally attest to the fact that the folks at the Riptide know how to throw a party.  A few years ago they had a rager to celebrate their two year anniversary and brought in 200 pounds of tuna sashimi and 1,000 oysters, and gave them out for FREE!  I felt like it was my birthday too!  Everyone I was with had a great time except my friend Josh who ended up eating the bad oyster.  You gotta figure that with 1,000 oysters being handed out, someone’s gonna get a bad one, and that unfortunate sonofabitch was Josh.

Anyway, take a ride out to the beach on Wednesday night and drop in to the Riptide.  Plus, if you win the Outside Lands tickets and you don’t have any friends, I’ll go to the show with you.  I have a feeling that’s not gonna happen though.
