Try 16 Wines for $5 with Spencer and Daniels

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

This is pretty much how I imagine all of my readers to look like: 18th century degenerate winos.  Ah…a boy can dream can’t he?

Spencer and Daniels Wine Outlet are doing their crazy wine madness event again on Thursday.  There’s gonna be art, music, raffles and of course lots of wine.  It sounds like it’s gonna be lots of fun, just read their press release:

Spencer and Daniels Wine Outlet is a Polk St. local wine shop with over 85 great wines under $10 and this hidden gem is proud to host a premiere wine event in collaboration with The Space Gallery.  This event will feature 16 tastings, an art exhibit, music, discounts and a gift certificate raffle.

Reserve your ticket now as space is limited.  The last event sold out!
You can purchase your ticket at Spencer and Daniels Wine Outlet located at 1541 Polk St.  Advance Tickets are only $5 and will reserve you a spot.  At the door tickets will be $10.

But if you want super cheap (practically FREE) wine all the time just listen to this tip I just got from a reader named Nika, who is a self proclaimed wine slut:

So, here is way you can get various free glasses of wine at any restaurant in the city or country for that case.

1. Walk into a restaurant and make sure to have your nose in the air and dressed somewhat nice. Give them the “I don’t belong in this dump” look.

2.Ask for the wine list

3. Scoff at the wine list and say to bartender “Oh, this is all you have…oh my…not that great of a selection”

4. Ask to try a glass of wine as it’s common to test it before you buy a glass.

*Note:You can’t look like you actually like the wine and make a face like you just tounged down a lemon*

5. Pass on the 1st and order another (Repeat all five steps three times)

Repeat this process and you can easily get away with three free “almost” full glasses of wine.

The way I look at it, it’s also a great way to get yourself permanently 86’d from a restaurant.
