Major Drinking Holiday Means More FREE Cab Rides

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

I like Luxor, they're just surly enough.

In case you haven’t noticed the pattern, pretty much any time there’s a major drinking holiday in the Bay Area our very responsible friends at Berg Injury Lawyers like to pay for your cab ride home. Even though I have no idea how this is at all profitable for them, it sure is incredible PR. I mean look, they didn’t even have to pay me to write about it.

The deal is simple: You just have to be at a bar (shouldn’t be a problem), and you have to take the cab to a residence (so no barhopping from North Beach to the Irish Bank on Berg’s dime). In the city, you’ll want to hail or call a Luxor Cab and in the East Bay use Veterans Cab and namedrop Berg Injury Lawyer’s when you’re getting in. The deal is good between 3pm and 3am. If you’re out past 3am on a Wednesday, you’re on your own.

Berg Injury Lawyers Safe and Sober Program:
FREE Cab rides from 3pm – 3am
Tonight, Wednesday March 17th, 2010
Call Luxor (415) 282'“4141 for rides within San Francisco
Call Veterans Cab (800) 281'“4488 for rides within Oakland, Alameda and Berkeley

Hat tip to FuncheapSF who’s got a big list of places to get drunk before you take advantage of the program.

Andrew Dalton - Aggressive Panhandler

Andrew is an East Coast transplant from Virginia hamming it up in San Francisco without any intention of leaving. Having worked every typical job from Bike Shop Employee to Bartender to Ad Agency Hotshot, to Dotcom Layoff he now busts his ass covering the "weird things to do" beat for gracious local audiences at SFAppeal.com and rallies the Western Addy/Lower Haight/Panhandle neighborhoods into action at AggressivePanhandler.com. His work was published in a real, paper magazine one time. One day he might even figure out how to make money from it.
