FREE Food and Music for a Good Cause at the Riptide

Jeff over at The Riptide has been doing some pretty awesome events lately that involve you eating and dancing for FREE.  Remember this one and this one?  Yeah, dude is not fucking around.

This time for Wet Wednesday a professional chef ,who is one of the Riptide regulars, will be cooking up pasta (meatless and meatfull), as well as salad and garlic bread.  Sounds yummy!  Plus they are raising money for the Edgewood Center which has been serving Bay Area children since the goddamn Gold Rush.

Here’s some more info that I don’t feel like paraphrasing: will host a raffle for a $450 gift certificate from Las Olas Surfboards and there will be other great prizes from cool local businesses like Aqua Surf Shop, surf author Jaimal Yogis, Java Beach Cafe, Noriega Produce, The Pizza Place on Noriega, The Red Vic Movie House and Timbuk2.

Sierra Nevada is donating $1 for every pint of their beer sold that night, a portion of the tips will be donated and the Riptide is donating a percentage of the bar sales. Every Wednesday at the Riptide is Wet Wednesday, but the last Wednesday of the month is always a benefit for a nonprofit or worthy cause.

I've been called "an Underground legend": SF Chronicle , "an SF cult hero": SF Bay Guardian, and "the chief of cheap": Time Out New York, but to those familiar with my work, I'm just "that douchebag who writes books about cheap stuff and drinks a lot".
