Free Tickets and Movement From ODC at Their New Campus

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

ODC turns a page in it’s storied history next week when they inaugurate their long-awaited new headquarters on 17th Street.  Their kicking off their season with programs from Kunst-Stoff and Levy Dance in partnership with CounterPULSE. Which is why it works out rather nicely that you have the chance to get some free passes through ODC’s ticket give away.

Kunst-Stoff puts on Rebetiko which draws upon the sorrowful style of rebetiko music from Greece and Levy Dance will be performing Our Body Remembers, which explores the idea that we all carry the sensory memory of our ancestors deep inside.  To be honest, the writing about these guys doesn’t really do them  justice, which is why you should go check it out for yourself.

AND… if you’re to afraid of rejection and have commitment issues, ODC will also be hosting a full day of free performances this Saturday. Yay!

To enter the giveaway, send an email to with your name and contact information. The winners will be chosen at random and notified by the ODC. Good Luck!

Stephen Torres - Threadbare-Fact Finder (Editor, San Francisco)

Stephen's early years were spent in a boxcar overlooking downtown Los Angeles. From there he moved around the state with his family before settling under the warm blanket of smog that covers suburban Southern California. Moving around led to his inability to stay in one place for very long, but San Francisco has been reeling him back in with its siren song since 1999.
By trade he pours booze, but likes to think he can write and does so occasionally for the SF Bay Guardian, Bold Italic and 7x7. He also likes to enjoy time spent in old eateries, bars and businesses that, by most standards, would have been condemned a long time ago.
