FREE Ice Skating at the Embarcadero Center for Giants Fans

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

What would Brian Boitano do? He'd put on a Giants hat.

Looking to impress your significant other with a chickflick-style date night this week? Well, you’re in luck, because the yearly holiday Embarcadero Ice Rink opens today in Justin Herman Plaza and while regular admission tickets are usually $9, this Friday is Giants Night – which means anyone in Giants gear (which everyone should have by now) gets to skate for FREE. If you’re one of the three people left in San Francisco without at least one piece of Giants paraphernalia , you could always just wrap an orange scarf around your neck or make a neckerchief out of a rally towel.

Andrew Dalton - Aggressive Panhandler

Andrew is an East Coast transplant from Virginia hamming it up in San Francisco without any intention of leaving. Having worked every typical job from Bike Shop Employee to Bartender to Ad Agency Hotshot, to Dotcom Layoff he now busts his ass covering the "weird things to do" beat for gracious local audiences at SFAppeal.com and rallies the Western Addy/Lower Haight/Panhandle neighborhoods into action at AggressivePanhandler.com. His work was published in a real, paper magazine one time. One day he might even figure out how to make money from it.
