FREE Popcorn and that Warm Fuzzy Feeling You Get From Doing Good

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

Wednesday night: You are most likely watching your iPhone tick down the minutes to the weekend or bored because all days blend together and you have no idea what day it is or where your outside shoes are. Or, heck, maybe your Wednesday is your Saturday. No matter your specific situation, the event at the Variety Preview Room Theatre fits all income earning (or non-earning) lifestyles. (Unless you work Wed. nights, then I got nothing for you. Sorry, dudes.)

Two movies, Despicable Me and Futurama–The Beast With a Billion Backs, for a suggested donation of $5, FREE popcorn, cash bar and $1 raffle tickets, raising money for pediatric wheelchairs. How can you say no to that?

Apparently the Variety Room is small, so get there early. Plus, you can make the most of the cash bar. Doors at 6pm, movie starts around 7pm.

As always a giant hat doff to Johnny Funcheap.

Jessica Longo - Two-Bit Reporter

Jessica was born, moved around a lot and has an odd dialect to prove it (see: hella, bubbler, and cawfee), and is now precariously settled in SF. Despite graduating high school too many years ago to count, she was crowned Prom Queen this summer and considers her life complete now. Last year her production editing job was outsourced to the Philippines. Hope they like it. Luckily for you, this Lady of Leisure is currently accepting applications for the position of Wealthy Benefactor.
