Scavenge Your Way Through SF St. Paddy’s Day

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

Drink up before midnight, or else you'll turn into a Leprechaun...

Calling all Leprechauns…get your green on and go out and get your drink on. Green beers preferred, but just remember this – SF taxis are FREE til 3 am!  I can’t promise that the cab drivers will be anything but assholes, but hey – be sure and leave a nice tip to get your broke-ass home, where it belongs.

Start your day out with a Jameson, neat, at the Irish Bank at 11:30 a.m. There’s a FREE block party before 3pm (and $5 after). Play “name that ginger,” and River Dance your way through the night to Celtic rock and DJ Pat.

Stumble your way down to Aventine’s FREE 3rd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Alley Block Party.

If you’re still standing, go grab another Guinness at the Royal Exchange’s 32nd Annual St. Paddy’s Day Block Party, after 3 pm. It’s FREE, and Bay Area band, Wonder Bread 5, will be hitting the outdoor stage. If you’re not quite that Irish, grab one of those FREE cabs, find your pot of gold and hopefully remember how you got home.

Cheers, like.

BLOCK PARTIES: Thursday, March 17

Irish Bank (11:30am – 2am) – 10 Mark Ln.

Aventine (5pm -10pm) – 582 Washington St.

Royal Exchange (3pm – 2am) – 301 Sacramento @ Front St.

[Financial District]
