Indie Mart Returns on Sunday, July 24th!

Updated: Aug 06, 2011 22:24
The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

After a far too long hiatus Indie Mart is back with a vengeance this weekend at Thee Parkside in Portrero Hill. It appears that summer is finally upon us, and in San Francisco that means you have the wonderful dilemma of trying to decide which awesome outdoor events you will make time for each weekend. When setting aside hours on your Google calendar make sure to clear the afternoon this Sunday so you can check out San Francisco’s finest outdoor celebration of do it yourselfers and professional crafters. Rather than drive over the bay bridge and hit up everyone’s least favorite Swedish furniture conglomerate you can bust out your Muni transfer and support local craftspeople that are living the dream.

Even if you’re not in the market for something to brighten up your living room, Indie Mart has all the bases covered for a kick ass outdoor festival; live music, spectacular food and most importantly sweet sweet booze. In fact our very own Broke Ass Stuart will be judging the second annual DIY competition.

You can catch all the details, and a full list of participants here.

IndieMart at Thee Parkside Sunday July 24th, 12pm-7pm 1600 17th St. [Portero Hill] $3 Suggested Donation

Hugh was born in Boston, but managed to escape to the Bay Area before acquiring that ridiculous accent. Growing up in Marin, Hugh joined the throngs of suburbanites that dream of being rock stars and movie gods only to end up in a well appointed cubicle. Now Hugh lives in San Francisco and casually ignores his environmental studies degree, choosing to write comedy and eat burritos instead.
