We Wanna Send you to SF Docfest Opening Night Film & Beerfest
SF DocFest OPENING NIGHT FILM presented by SF IndieFest!
This is going to be super fun, opening night with delicious beers, pizza, music, and a great film all going off in the Mission, SF!
In 1998 there were less than 1,500 breweries in the United States – now there are over 7,000. Brewmaster tells the story of the rise of craft beer through two young men pursuing their dreams in the world of beer. Drew is a New York lawyer who wants to start his own brewery. He uses every free moment to make this a reality while preparing for a pitch with a potential investor. Brian, an ex-telemarketer, is studying to become a Master Cicerone – the beer equivalent of a sommelier – which requires taking a test only 13 people have ever passed. Helping tell the story of beer are some of the best-known personalities in the craft beer community including Sam Calagione, John and Jen Kimmich, Garrett Oliver, Jim Koch, Vaclav Berka, Ray Daniels, Charles Papazian, Rob Tod and Randy Mosher.
Brewmaster creates a cinematic portrait of beer, those who love it, those who make it and those who are hustling to make their mark. Directed by Douglas Tirola.
