Mission Pie is Closing Down

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

Early today Mission Local reported that everyone’s favorite pie shop/community space was closing down. Mission Pie has been at the corner of Mission and 25th St. for the past 12 years. I’m pretty sure I first hearing about Mission Pie on Mission Mission way back when the shop first opened.

Back then The Mission was a place where the idea of a pie shop was not only a whimsically delicious idea, it was also a feasible business model. San Francisco in 2019 is a far different place than San Francisco 2007 and Mission Pie can no survive. It’s last day of business is September 1st, 2019.

For a look at why this is happening I suggest reading Joe Eskenazi’s Mission Local article right here. As always, Joe does a wonderful job of breaking bad news.
