We wanna send you to the GLIDE Legacy Gala!
The 8th Annual GLIDE Legacy Gala — now the most established and well-attended young professional gala in San Francisco — welcomes over 1,000 guests and honors three luminaries with the 2017 Legacy Awards for their social impact on the San Francisco Community and their commitment to GLIDE. This year, they are thrilled to recognize Shiza Shahid, co-founder of the Malala Fund, with the Janice Mirikitani Award; Shaka Senghor, prison reform activist and New York Times bestselling author, with the Reverend Cecil Williams Award; and Greg Kloehn, artist and tiny-house builder for formerly homeless people, with the Community Hero Award.
Throughout the evening, guests will enjoy beats by DJ KingMost and musical performances from the internationally renowned GLIDE Ensemble and the Change Band under the musical direction of Clifford Coulter and choral direction of Vernon Bush. Hosted by the GLIDE Legacy Committee, join Rev. Cecil Williams, Janice Mirikitani and the GLIDE family to celebrate one of San Francisco’s most beloved and iconic organizations. Drinks and delicious hors d’oeuvres will be provided by San Francisco’s hottest spots, including: BaoDown GastroBar, The Brixton, Casa Sanchez, Farallon, Lagunitas, Mourad, Pa’ina Restaurant & Lounge, Taverna Aventine, Twenty Five Lusk, and Woodhouse Fish Co.
