New Mission Taqueria, El Rey, Giving Out Free Tacos This Weekend

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

Earlier today Carolyn Stein over at Mission Local shared the wonderful story about the new El Rey taqueria in the Mission.

Started by Jose Mendoza and invested in by his former youth soccer coach, Pepe Valdez, the Mexican street style taco shop is now open in the old Myriad Gastropub space at 2491 Mission Street between 21st and 20th Streets. It’s a really lovely story and you should totally go read it.

But here’s the really important part: “El Rey will be serving two complimentary tacos today, Friday and Saturday to celebrate their opening. Stop by their location at 21st and Mission streets to pick up your complimentary tacos.”

If you go, try to buy something else, and make sure you tip!
