24hrs of Peaceful & Violent Protests Around San Francisco
In the last 24 hours in San Francisco dozens of protests, strikes, blockades and rallies have broken out all over the city. As the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit unfolds, the world’s attention is focused on San Francisco, and the people are out in the streets.
Below are just a few of the incredible demonstrations both peaceful and violent, by people expressing their First Amendment right to voice protest and concern about war, politics, power, labor, identity, and environmental policy.
We at Broke-Ass Stuart support their rights to free speech, and peaceful demonstration.

A protestor in a giant turd costume joined the picketing workers at the BEI Hotel on the fourth day of their Unfair Labor Practice (ULP) strike. The union says that at least four workers have suffered diarrhea, stomach pain, or other symptoms of food poisoning since the hotel unilaterally laid off its cooks and outsourced cafeteria meals.
