There’s welcome news for beer lovers in the Bay Area, the Trumer ‘Brauerei’ on Fourth Street in Berkeley is celebrating its 20th anniversary and its newly renovated taproom is set to pour the freshest (and most awarded) craft pilsner in the world, along with a special edition 20th Anniversary Lager, and exclusive beer styles not available in stores!

The 20th-anniversary block party will also feature live music from Jane Blonde and the Goldfingers, with wonderful food options from the Taproom and HopMunk Tavern, and of course, feature Trumer Pils and many exclusive new beer styles brewed on-site.

Trumer Pils has been awarded eighteen Gold Medal wins at the most prestigious international beer competitions, making Trumer Pils the most awarded craft pilsner in the world. Trumer Pils has been recognized by the European Beer Star, the Great American Beer Festival, and the World Beer Cup.

At the Australian International Beer Awards (AIBA) the world’s largest annual beer competition, comprised of over 2,600 entries from more than 400 breweries in 26 countries.  Trumer Pils won four consecutive gold medals for the Best German Style Pilsner.

In 2004, a group of enterprising American craft brewers discovered the Trumer Brauerei in Salzburg, Austria. Instead of shipping Trumer Pils from Austria to the United States, those brewers built a sister brewery in Berkeley, California.

This is how Americans can get 400 years of Austrian Brewing tradition, brewed fresh daily in Berkeley.  The Trumer Berkeley team upholds the original Trumer Pils recipe by using the same hops, malt, and proprietary yeast as its sister brewery in Salzburg.
