Staying Busy

by Vanessa Gil, Arts & Events Editor

Sometimes in life, you need fun, healthy distractions. My go-to is concerts. It’s like a religious experience for me. Last week it was Fletcher at The Independent. I was bummed I was missing her at Outside Lands, but it was a million times better seeing her in an intimate venue where she was inches away from me. Swoon! Also, if you know me… you know I love ALL things regarding Atmosphere, the rap duo made up of Slug and Ant. So, when I saw MURS was playing at Cal Acad’s NightLife this Thursday, I knew I had to jump on the opportunity to see him in such a unique venue. (MURS and Slug collaborate musically as the rap duo, Felt… for those not in the know.) If you’re in pursuit your own distractions this week, I have some ideas for you. Here’s what else I’m excited for the week of 8/13 and beyond.
