Not Fit for Burning Man

by Vanessa Gil, Arts & Events Editor

I wish I was cut out for Burning Man. I’d love to experience Bronze Holbein’sReclamation of a Stolen Heart” in person on The Playa. I mean, I like camping… but Burning Man is like camping on steroids. I indoor boulder, I don’t outdoor rock climb. I like comfort, safety, and showers too much to rough it like that. So in The Bay I stay, vicariously scrolling through their Mad Max post-apocalyptic festival experiences on TikTok. Plus, there’s SO MUCH for me to enjoy right here at home. Here’s what else I’m excited for the week of 8/27 and beyond.
