Last Ever Casiotone for the Painfully Alone Show in NYC
Owen Ashworth, the man behind lo-fi solo project Casiotone for the Painfully Alone, announced earlier this year that his current tour would be his last. He’ll be playing two shows in NYC this week – one at the Mercury Lounge on Thursday and the Ridgewood Masonic Temple on Friday. So this is your last chance ever to see them play!
Now, maybe you are constantly surrounded by people and love and acceptance, and do not understand this band name at all. If so, I feel sorry for you, because sometimes painful aloneness is a necessary, character-building part of life, as is evidenced by this awesome video, and my freshman/sophomore year of high school:

Tickets for the Mercury Lounge show can be purchased here; tickets for the Bushwick show are on sale at Desert Island Books, 540 Metropolitan Ave, off the Lorimer stop on the L. They’re super cheap, so I’ll see you there!
