“Welcome to Goodburger, now Home of the Cheap-ass Goodburger”

Ohhh, Goodburger. The movie industry’s flop is New York City’s cheap meal.

The Big Apple chain has started launching monthly promotions to keep its broke constituents well-fed. In April, anyone who “liked” Goodburger on Facebook got access to a discount code for 20% off. Now in May, every Wednesday from 3-5PM single burgers are just a buck a pop (toppings like cheese and fried onions are a touch extra). That’s less than the amount of change I find daily on the ground on the Subway platform! (Don’t worry, I don’t touch it. Unless it’s a quarter.)

Considering the Goodburger was just voted #3 in the Midtown Lunch poll of Best Hamburgers Under $10 in New York (behind Shake Shack and Five Guys), this ain’t a bad deal. So go forth and burger, fellow broke-asses!

Jill is an Ohio native and Boston University graduate who refuses to stop saying "pop" and wearing her Red Sox gear despite being heckled for doing so since moving to Brooklyn. She's been honing her thrifty ways since doing that silly thing people talk about when they ignore reason to follow their hearts and chose a career in the fulfilling but faltering music industry. She earns her beer money as a publicist and writer, and spends her spare time cooking, biking, and trying to decide if she's ready to get a cat.
