It has been said that the name your parents choose to give you will define the type of person you will become. Now imagine if you become the type of person that gets FREE drinks at the No Idea Bar. That’s exactly what your name can get you during their Name Night.

Located in the Flatiron neighborhood of Manhattan, No Idea is a bar that’s pretty easy on the wallet/pocketbook. They serve 16oz. mixed drinks for $6 and their very own No Idea Pale Ale for $5. They also have their 16oz. can of beer and whiskey shot special for $7. But of course that’s not why you’re still reading– you just want to know more about the FREE drinks on Name Night.

Name Night is every night, (except for Sundays, because they’re closed) from 5pm-11pm. There’s a calendar posted on their website and at the bar with the name of the night already chosen. There are only two things that they ask of you if your name is chosen for that particular night: bring friends with you, and please tip the bartenders. I personally believe that it’s an unwritten rule to tip your bartender, so that’s a given. But if you show up alone on name night, you won’t be getting any FREE drinks.

The list of names is usually created a month in advance, so if you’d like to have your name, or the name of a friend or relative added for their birthday, you can email the staff of No Idea at noidea@noideabar.com.

My father came, my mother saw...and I conquered. I encourage children to do drugs, I buy alcohol for teenagers, and I drink beer with the homeless. In my spare time, I attend art galleries for the FREE booze while rubbing elbows with modish elephants. I also hammer six-inch nails into small penises. Stuart knighted me as Broke-Ass King of New York. You've been warned.
