Specs’ is Officially Reopening on May 20th!
Specs’ 12 Adler Museum Cafe, the western jewel of dive bars and our city’s home to philosophers, novelists, travelers, progressives, poets, punks, drunks and broke-asses, is finally reopening!
Specs’ celebrated it’s 53rd birthday this past April 26th, now it’s going to celebrate its grand re-opening this Thursday May 20th! Hours for now will be 4-10pm Thurs-Sun.
And Spec’s will have seating inside and outside per SF yellow tier regulations.
The courtyard at 12 Adler Place (renamed ‘William Saroyan Place’ after a wonderful novelist and patron) will once more host drunken conversations (12 outdoor seats), along with 12 more seats on the inside of the bar too!
And if you’re are still feeling a bit squeamish or maybe you’re not fully vaccinated yet, feel free to write them a postcard, and tell the crab on the wall all about it. Or donate a round to their gofundme.
Meanwhile, next week we will begin to see y’all at Spec’s again. Doesn’t that feel great to say? They’ll also be sharing a parklet with neighboring Tosca Cafe. Specs’ was kind enough let us know and give us their new flyer:
