I Need To Get Real With You for a Minute
I need your help to keep BrokeAssStuart.com going.
In 2024, we wrote over 800 articles and published over 4,000 social media posts serving the San Francisco Bay Area.
We’ve covered striking workers, fine artists, corrupt politicians, fantastic drag performers, colorful weirdos, cherished small businesses, and the vital news that the working people of our city (you) care about.
We produced one of San Francisco’s greatest collections of short stories and poems and gave it away to you, for FREE (You can download yours, here).
Currently, we take in $5,207 a month from subscribers, we need to get that number above $6,000K a month in order to afford to keep going in 2025, and that is just to keep up with inflation.
We just need $773 more per month more.
So I’m hoping that you will become a Patreon subscriber. So that we can continue to cover the young, broke, and beautiful people that nobody else does.
Over $3 out of every $4 we take in goes directly to paying writers, artists, engineers, or lawyers to keep independent journalism and the promotion of local businesses going.

We Work for You, Not Billionaires
Nearly every single media outlet you read is either funded by venture capital, owned by a media conglomerate, or owned by a billionaire. Broke-Ass Stuart is 100% independent, which means we work for you, the people who donate to us.
It’s not for enriching shareholders or for fucking stock buybacks, it’s for paying working people in the Bay Area, who all live well below the median income in the Bay Area.
2025 is looking like it’s gonna be a real motherfucker, and in the fracturing media landscape, you’re gonna need a voice that you can actually trust. One that you’ve trusted for 20 years. Help us keep being that for another 20 years.
