Broke Country Club Party at the Putting Lot

Having lived in Bushwick, I’ve done my share of shit-talking on the neighborhood. But low and behold, as soon I as move, they go and get themselves a miniature golf course (of all things!). The Putting Lot is a 9-hole course designed by local artists and architects in what used to be just another vacant lot. And now that everything is up and running– it’s party time.

Join Plaztik Magazine and Skewville for the Broke Country Club Party, (not to be confused with Bushwick Country Club). Play a discounted round of golf or enter in the golf putting championship to win a pair or of Skewville sneakers. Also, down free lemonade and homemade brownies and indulge in some adolescent water balloon fights.

Not enough for you?

Wander over to the Bad Advice Booth, because who needs a best friend when you got these guys? If you’re feeling crafty, try your hand at the Sail Car Regetta (yeah I didn’t know what it was either). And, to really make it a fun clusterfuck, there will be live mural paintings all day by famous graffiti artists. I’m sure there’s more but you’re gonna have to go there to see for yourself.

Laura S - Spendthrift Scribe

Laura S, left the "sixth borough" three years ago to settle in Brooklyn. After working at some daily rags, she now does writing on the side but still eats more Ramen then necessary. When she's not moving residences every 6 months, eating her way through every neighborhood, and trying every microbrew known to man, she is unsuccessfully rediscovering home economics. With her binging days behind her, she's now exploring new projects and rediscovering the city that she loves (although is still prone to sliding on her knees during a Prince karaoke set).
