An Edible Guide to New York
As you may noticed, I like food, a lot. I like reading about it, writing about it, looking at pretty pictures of it, and of course eating it. So when I found a FREE monthly magazine that covers all these things, I cried a little into my bowl of chili. Edible Magazine is published all over the country, and more specifically, Manhattan, Brooklyn, and now Queens.
Unlike most food publications, Edible is not so much about recipes and restaurant reviews, they dig deep in New York City’s culinary history interviewing old butchers to green market start-ups. I’ve learned more about hot dogs then I ever thought possible. And don’t forget about the booze. There’s features on homemade whiskey to cavernous wine vaults under the city. All of their features are accompanied by beautiful and mouthwatering photography.

In addition to highlighting New York’s finest food offerings, Edible also plays host to a number of events throughout the year. On September 26, they’ll be celebrating their one-year anniversary with a harvest party at South Street Seaport. Food vendors include Brooklyn favorite, Russ & Daughters, Murray’s Cheese, Doughnut Plant, Stumptown Coffee and whole range New York all stars.
