Party Like Your Neighborhood Depends on It
If you’ve been to Williamsburg or Greenpoint and looked at a tree or a bike rack, you know all about Neighbors for Allied Good Growth (NAG). NAG is a grassroots, volunteer organization that fixes tree beds, fights for waterfront park space, finishes bike racks for installation and distributes flower seeds to throw into empty lots. Tomorrow night, they’re throwing a holiday party at The Woods bar in Williamsburg. To raise money for future projects, they’re having a silent auction of items from local places like Cafe Grumpy, Word Bookstore, 3rd Ward, Treehouse, etc. So you can help protect park space in the burg, and get your mom/dog/sister/great aunt something awesome for Christmas. Even if you don’t bid on anything, the NAG volunteers are good people to know. Also, The Woods has an excellent select of cheap beers in cans and a taco truck on the patio.
