Freaks and Geeks at the SciCafe
Not talking about the cult TV show here, but at this event, there are sure to be some nerdy hotties walking around.
You might not have known this, but once a month, the American Museum of Natural History’s SciCafe holds FREE after-hours parties with drinks, music, and 'œthought provoking conversation.' And the next party is tomorrow night! All you have to do is dress up, bring your flask, and learn about cutting-edge science-y things. (The bar is a cash bar, thus the importance of the flask.)
This month’s featured speaker is Ichthyologist Melanie Stiassny '“ that’s fish scientist to you. She’ll be talking on the 'œMysteries of the Congo' and discussing her team’s wild adventures and discoveries of strange new species on the world’s deepest river (as shown in this video clip). She’s also featured in a hilarious clip “Water is Life” from The Colbert Report. You should watch it. It’s pretty brilliant, especially starting at minute 2.
RSVP on Facebook and invite your friends.
