FREE Admission to the Bronx Zoo
Tomorrow is Earth Day. If you wanna get one with nature, there are trees you can hug in Central Park, Prospect Park, smaller neighborhood parks, or just on the street. Though it’s a little difficult to wrap your arms around the saplings that line most NYC blocks. If you’d rather celebrate by staring at animal and wishing you could hug them, make a trek up to The Bronx today.
Every Wednesday, admission to The Bronx Zoo is FREE. Sure, the Central Park and Prospect Park Zoos are pretty awesome, but the Bronx Zoo is giant. It’s the zoo in the city that has animals like lions and tigers that would eat you given a chance, large grazing mammals like buffalo and zebras, absurd creatures like okapis, polar bears, butterflies in a garden, herds of deer and more birds than you could ever see in one visit.
