Normally we like to cover one must-see event and gush about how awesome it is and how your social life would plunge to great depths if you miss it, but there is just way to0 much going on today to just pick one. I hate to sound like a cliche but there really is something for everyone going on today. And if you’re sad you didn’t plan some classy beach getaway, just ask yourself, did you really want to hang out with these people anyway?

It didn’t take much for this Greenpoint Bar to live up to its name. Some call it the new Union Pool others call it that place we went one time… er I can’t remember. They’re offering up quite a deal on Sunday, $15 gets you all you can drink beer and a whole heaping plate of BBQ. I’m glad they’re making food part of the deal because I’ve seen relationships end and blood spilled at open bars. Proceed with caution and I pray you don’t have to work the next day.

Bust Craftacular @ Warsaw
Everyone’s favorite indie market is back with new vendors and a new location. The BUST Magazine Craftacular is bringing their horse and pony show to the Warsaw with over 50 vendors and gift bags for the first 250 guests. Pick up some new trinkets from my personal favorites Verameat and Erica Weiner and of course there will be plenty of drinks, eats and DJ’s all day long. Even if you’re not in the mood to shop, you can also unload any unwanted clothes and accessories to the ladies of SCORE (not to be confused with SCORES) who are collecting donations for their pop-up swap at BKLYN Yard on May 29. $2 gets you access to all the vendors and free goodies to be found.

Brooklyn Folk Festival
Brooklyn gets its share of music festivals, most of them with a distinctive indie bent, but if you take a look around, there’s a lot of music coming out of the borough that doesn’t involve drum machines or synthesizers. The Brooklyn Folk Festival is back with three days worth of blues, jazz, and traditional folk music sponsored by the Down Home Radio Show. Along with live performances all day long, there will also be special film screenings and music workshops. $5 gets you an all day pass to checkout out the outdoor stage at the Jalopy Theater on the waterfront.
