The Manhattan Inn: Not Actually In Manhattan
If you’re sick of the speakeasy aesthetic, then, The Manhattan Inn is probably not for you. Maybe you just can’t relate to it. Kind of like books, because they’re all like: “One summmahh, when I was vacaaationing with my cousins, I met Rrrrafaelo Rotundo, and he shooowed me how to experiiience LIFE in the rrrrrrroooolling hills in Tuscany. And my Aunnnt Merriweather said BOO! But I wanted to be frrrrrrrreeeeeee!” Right?
Well, hold on to your hats, ok? Because not all faux-speakeasies are insanely annoying and crowded. Maybe sometimes they’re just places to get a good cocktail, sit back with your little friends, and pretend that you live in the late 1920s, OK? There are people in Flint, Michigan who can’t do that, you know!
And guess what else, a-holes? THEY GOT SOME GREAT GODDAMN ASPARAGUS. There’s parmesan on it. And it’s good. Damn good. You can have dinner at a table by the grand pie-anah they have there in the back room that sometimes has karaoke nights. I highly recommend the vegan fritters and the pork ribs. How’s that for some range showin’?
Sure, it’s not the cheapest place around, but if you feel like giving yourself a little treat and getting a lot of quality in return, this is where you’re gonna wanna go. Let’s face it, this place is really good, and if it were actually in Manhattan, you would be crying your eyes out every night that it was too crowded, rather than snarky snark snarking your way through your next cocktail.
