Exercise Your Imagination at this Year’s Air Sex World Championships
Of all the extremely compelling things about the east coast regionals of this year’s Air Sex World Championships, few are more humorous than the subtle irony in the event occurring on the same date as the first Nerd Nite of the year. The two events may not be mutually exclusive in terms of their fanbases, but it’s fun to think that they are.
Air sex is what happens when you take two madly passionate, possibly drunken individuals, and remove one of them. What remains is either the more clever (or more desperate) half, who dances, gesticulates, and entertains in front of a crowd of strangers. This is the competition’s second year, which likely means the kinks have been ironed out and all of the judges have practiced and perfected all of their puns. Stiff competition? You betcha.
The party starts tonight at 10:30 at The Mercury Lounge, with tickets costing you a nice, round $15.
