Sashay Away to FREE Zumba Classes Every Wednesday in Williamsburg

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

I, like many others, love myself a little Latin flavor. I also– like many others– enjoy gyrating in a semi-slutty way, while wearing stretchy pants, and a ponytail, and sweating out all of my toxins in a roomful of other ladies doing the same thing. What I’m describing here is not J.Lo’s new rom com in which she melts Richard Gere’s misogynistic coal heart by teaching him how to shimmy and roll his R’s, but a typical Zumba class– and while you may feel like a total cheeseball cha-cha-cha-ing to Gloria Estefan (and believe you me, you will feel like a cheeseball), you will also no doubt have tons of fun while doing it. I mean, despite being the choice exercise of suburban moms everywhere, Zumba is an excellent workout! So grab a pal and head over to Shape Up NYC’s FREE Zumba classes every Wednesday evening at the McCarren Play Center in Williamsburg– you know that your hips wanna go, and “hips don’t lie,” baby.

Come on, shake your body, baby, do that ZUMBA; I know you can’t control yourself any… LUMBA? Ugh, I’m way off today. More info HERE.
